Kipepeo Foundation is a small family charity supporting Africans in their initiatives to improve education and sports facilities for orphaned and disadvantaged children. We aim to reduce marketing and administrative overheads by emphasising direct personal connections and involvement in small projects. To ensure long-term sustainability of our projects and contribution from the local community, we sponsor only projects started by the Africans. We believe that developing opportunities that the community considers valuable makes a bigger difference than financing our ideas, no matter how grand. We operate in the Likoni slum near Mombasa, Kenya.

A message from Haggai Amonde, Kipepeo Director in Kenya.
Dear supporters and Friends.
I am writing this message to thank all of you who have donated your money to help poor people here in Kenya. Your selfless decision is truly helping our community. It will remain in both my heart and the hearts of those you are assisting.
The owners of the school are also very happy and they both asked me to thank you on their behalf. They say that you are like a big extended family to them in the UK. If we are this thankful, then you can tell that those receiving the help are even more thankful and happier.
We started from a humble beginning and where we have reached is far from then. Your continued support is worth praise. We hope to do more this coming year and i want to take this opportunity to assure you that your money is well utilised. I personally oversee how the money is spent. From construction work, purchase of furniture, flagpost, painting, the gate, wall drawings and chalkwalls to installation of running water and others, surely that is remarkeable.
I know that you earn your money with difficulty and that you are very kind. That is reason enough for me to let you know that i always appreciate greatly your contributions towards these people.
Thank you again.
Haggai
Starting from January 2013, we have been sending money to Majenga Mapya Academy sponsoring breakfasts and lunches so that children do not learn whilst hungry. We have collected enough money to send 16,000 KSh (£130) each month, contributing towards the food.
This is just a small drop in the ocean, however. Majenga Mapya spends 128,000 KSh (£1024) each month on food, feeding all 160 children who are learning there.
Thank you!
We still need your help.
Our friend Lukas took up the challenge and will be running
Lukas set himself a very ambitious target. He is planning to complete the Marathon in 3 hours (the fastest Marathon runner on the planet completed the run in 2 hours 4 minutes).
Please celebrate his efforts together with us and sponsor Lukas
Your donations will be used to suport the lunch programme at Majenga Mapya and footballs for the street boys' Football Club.

FOOD SPONSORSHIP
Majenga Mapya Academy is now complete and fully operating. To help them further, we pay for breakfasts and lunches so that children don’t learn whilst hungry.
There are 160 children in Majenga Mapya Academy.
Every penny counts. The more money we collect, the more children will eat.
Each child eats about 40KSh. every day, which is about 32p.
VOLUNTEERING ON A SHOESTRING
Alena is a Czech student. She has always dreamt about helping in Africa but never had the money to pay for agency fees.
Alena fulfilled her dream this year with Kipepeo Foundation. Kipepeo offered her a placement on the water project at Majenga Mapya Academy and a couple of T-shirts to do the necessary fundraising. Alena organised the rest and Majenga Mapya Academy now has running water.
Alena shared her story with her friends afterwards and raised additional money for Majenga Mapya Academy. Thank you and Well Done!
JAMES RAN A FUNDRAISING MARATHON
James ran the Prague International Marathon. He completed the run in 3h42m and he raised £1,001
